While making a critical decision, I first recognize the ethical issue that need to be observed. This is through analyzing whether the decision could affect a person or a group of people. In addition, I balance between the benefits and damages that are likely to be brought by this decision. Then, I analyze the legality of the decision and whether it’s the best among the alternative. The second step involves getting all the facts about the decision being made. This step identifies all the relevant steps and whether there is a need to conduct more research about the situation. I also test whether I have enough knowledge to enable me to make the appropriate decision. Furthermore, during this case, I identify all the groups that are likely to be affected by the decision either positively or negatively.
